Cabbage Tree
(Cordyline Spp.)
The cabbage tree is an icon of NZ, a large tree that grow unbranched until it flowers. The fragrant white flowers appear in the Spring, followed by tiny fruits much loved by birds.
Fuchsia boliviana
(Fuchsia boliviana)
This tender species fuchsia quickly grows to a handsome shrub, with flowers all year long. The flowers each has a long red tube, red tepals and salmon pink corolla.

Fuchsia fulgens
(Fuchsia fulgens)
A half-hardy deciduous shrub that will flower all year round in warmer climates. The long turbular flowers, typical of triphylla fuchsias, have orange coloured corollas.
Fuchsia paniculata
(Fuchsia paniculata)
This species fuchsia grows to a large shrub. Its pink flowers appear on terminal panicles, followed by small round black fruits.

Hoya
(Hoya)
A succulent climber that produces fragrant starry flowers in late spring / summer.
Kaka beak
(Clianthus puniceus)
This rare hardy quick growing shrub is endemic to NZ. The large red pea blossoms appear from the second year onwards.

Kowhai
(Sophora fulvida)
The kowhai is the national flower of New Zealand. It welcomes spring with a burst of bright yellow flowers. Rosemary
(Rosmarinus officianalis)
Rosemary is an evergreen shrub, growing to 2m. The narrow leaves are used in cooking. Pale blue flowers appear in late Winter / Spring.
