This Chrysanthemum produces pretty yellow / white fragrant flowers in late spring on tall stems, very suitable for use as cut flower.
Also called Tung Ho, Chop Suey Greens or Shungikee, when young, it is a tender leaf vegetable.
It has a subtle but distinct 'floral' flavour and is great stir fried with ginger or used in soup.
Some say it is as delicious as spinach.
4-6 weeks for harvest, and likes cool weather.
It is a very good source of fiber, vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and copper, and a good source of protein, niacin and zinc.
