Hesperantha coccinea (syn. Schizostylis coccinea) is a bog plant from South Africa that thrives on poorly drained soils. It produces red flowers in the Autumn and a smaller flush in the Spring. The leaves look like broad glass blades. It spreads slowly by underground stolons.
