Etymology
Solanum From Latin solamen meaning source of comfort, referring to the soothing effects of certain species when ingested.
jasminoides From the Genus Jasminum, Jasmine, and Greek -oides meaning resembles.

Potato vine is a quick growing climber that produces white flowers looking like potato flowers, and hence the common name. The white variety is shown here but a blueish-white or purple flowered varieties are also available.
