wallisii Named after Gustav Wallis, 19th century German orchid collector for Veitch in South America.

Pescatorea wallisii comes from low to intermediate elevation rainforests of Ecuador. Its pseudobulb is insignificant, and therefore should not be allowed to dry out completely. The leaves are arranged in a v-shaped fan. The flowers appear on short stems below the leaves.
