This is a group of chrysanthemums grown for their daisy like flowers. Garland Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum coronarium) is edible and is grown as a vegetable.

This hardy annual is usually grown a leaf vegetable. It has a subtle but distinct 'floral' flavour and is great stir fried with ginger or used in soup. Some say it is as delicious as spinach. It is a very good source of fiber, vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and copper, and a good source of protein, niacin and zinc.

This plant is worth growing solely for the fragrant flowers that are yellow with a cream outer ring. In Spring, the flowers appear on tall stems, making it suitable for cutting. Garland Chrysanthemum self seeds readily and is a good addition to the cottage / wildflower garden.

This cheerful Spring/Summer flowering annual was introduced to horticulture from Morocco 200 years ago. The tri-coloured flowers are red, pink, white or yellow, ringed with darker colours, such as orange, brown, burgundy and scarlet, and makes an excellent cut flower. They stay open for a long time and the plant continues to flower over months if deadheaded. Started seeds in the Autumn for earlier flowering. The foliage is aromatic.

This Chrysanthemum grows a tuft of leaves, and in late Spring, produces multiple tall flower stems from the crown. Each stem produces multiple white daisy looking flowers.
