This dainty short lived wetland perennial produces masses of flowers in the Spring. The flowers can be pink, blue or white.

The name "Forget Me Not" has its origins in a medieval poem about a knight picking blue flowers for his lady along a river bank. He fell into the river and before he drowned, he threw the posie of blue flowers to his lady and said "Forget me not".

Germination

Depth: ¼ cm
When: In colder areas, early Spring
In warmer areas, Autumn
Where: In containers for transplanting later, or direct where it is to grow.
Seedlings are fast growing, flowering in 6 weeks!

Culture

Provide plenty of water or grow in wet soil. This plant is very easy to grow and will often self seed in unexpected places. Dead head to prolong the life of the plant, or treat as an annual.
