This small epiphytic NZ native orchid is found in low bushland. The tiny white, cream, yellow, or rarely apricot orange flowers typically open during spring and summer.

The leaves look like grass. The plant can easily be mistaken for grass, if it was not for the brown stems and thick orchid roots.
