Coreopsis tinctoria

Coreopsis is drought tolerant and will do fine in poor soils. The leaves only grow to 30cm and the flowers are borne on 60cm stems. Use it as a ground cover for dry areas such as banks or plant it next to paths. A very hardy plant, this coreopsis will grow pretty much anywhere in New Zealand.

    This dwarf annual reaches only 40cm. It is suitable for the front of the border or container culture. The flowers are golden yellow with a red blotch in the middle.

    This annual has a compact growth habbit and only reaches 30-40cm. Like the golden variety, it is suitable for the front of the border or container culture. Masses of brick red flowers cover the plant in the Summer.

Where: In containers for planting out later.
